AV Poetry is a project led by Rebecca Goldsmith – an AHRC-funded artist based in Derbyshire, UK.
Rebecca works across disciplines of poetry, film, music and immersive technologies.
Her practice examines time, memory and notions of place.
Rebecca’s practice-led PhD research project is entitled Poetry Film as Multimodal and Immersive Place Writing. She studies at Keele University in partnership with Writing West Midlands and with additional supervision from the Centre for Place Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University. The project is supported by the North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership (part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council).
Rebecca was Poetry Filmmaker in Residence at the Birmingham Literature Festival 2023.
She presented an original collection of poetry films as screenings across all literary events at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, as well as a pop-up immersive poetry experience in the foyer of the Library of Birmingham.
